SS Narkunda

The stately Peninsular and Orient Steam Navigation Company Liner SS Narkunda passes under the Sydney Harbour Bridge under construction ( c. 1930 )

When launched 1919 was the biggest ship of this owner ( with her sistership Naldera ) converted to fuel firing in 1927 she was a popular ship on the UK to Australia run

Her end came on 14 november 1942 off the coast of Algeria when she was attacked by German aircrafts and sunk
