Branch meeting

The next Melbourne Branch meeting will be held on Wednesday 28 May 2025, 1800 for an 1830 start at The Mail Exchange hotel. Guests are cordially welcome.

Note: In keeping with the theme of the IMO International Day for Women in Maritime (held on 18 May each year), this meeting shall honour the women in maritime and in our lives.

Speaker: Ms Donna Jones GAICD, is a strategic leader and sustainability-driven consultant with over two decades of experience transforming people and culture, workforce development, and ESG strategies across the transport, logistics, education, and manufacturing sectors. As Founder of Asheville Consulting Group, Donna partners with public and private sector leaders to design future-ready workforce models, inclusive recruitment programs, and comprehensive DEI frameworks — especially benefiting refugees, First Nations peoples, and marginalised communities.

Topic: Sustainability and the opportunities in the maritime space.
Donna will inform us on Sustainability and Women’s participation in the Maritime space. Donna currently serves as President and Chair of WISTA Australia and is focused on advancing women’s leadership in maritime and shipping.
