Bulk Carrrier , Explorer class IRON FLINDERS, built in Whyalla and launched in 1959.

13 knots at 80% of power. Three steam turbines double reduction geared to a single shaft.

The crew of 54 had a swimming pool

Sistership was IRON DAMPIER, both sailed for BHP until 1978.
