S.S.Lucigen, built 1909, was a H.E Moss line tanker.

She was one of the ships that reported the existence of the ice field in the days prior to the Titanic sinking, her captain being a prudent mariner made a detour south of approx 60nm to avoid the ice.

She was laid up on the Tyne in 1939 and being 30 years old would have probably been scrapped if it had not been for the outbreak of war, and was used as a depot ship for oil storage in Africa, she was finally scuttled off Lagos in 1946
