We have recently been advised by Mr Angus Menzies of the Honourable Company of Master Mariners in UK that there is an initiative to broaden the award of Chartered Master Mariner status (CMMar) to individuals in Australia.
 
On Friday 10th May 2019, a meeting was held on the HQS WELLINGTON in London with the Naval Advisers from the Australian High Commission.  The meeting was to brief the Advisers on CMMar and their plans to roll it out outside the UK.  It was agreed to nominate up to three individuals from each nation to apply for the Chartership this summer.
